Lifting Magnet Safety Information and SOP

Has received, read and understood the provided set of safety and operating instructions for all models of Pro-Lift Lifting Magnets and Magswitch Lifting Magnets.

This is to confirm that:

• You have received instruction on the safe operation of the Permanent Lifting Magnet/s you have ordered. These documents will also be provided with your equipment.
• You have been provided with a Safe Operating Procedure (SOP) which details the safety and operational requirements of the equipment.

It is important to highlight that provision of the above material does not, of itself, meet all the requirements of the Workplace Health & Safety Act.

It is incumbent upon your company to:

• Undertake a risk assessment to identify the hazards prevalent at your work place, which could impact upon the safe operation of the equipment and take action to control those hazards.
• Review the SOP to ensure it captures of all the steps involved in your specific use(s) of the equipment and modify accordingly.
• Ensure that staff and customers operating the equipment have been adequately trained in its safe use, provided with the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) identified in the SOP, and provided with a copy of the Safe Operating Procedure.

Your company also agrees to undertake a risk assessment, review the SOP in light of that risk assessment, make any modifications to reflect how the equipment is to be used at their workplace and then adequately train those people who are going to use the machine.

Please note. It is a condition of supply that this document is reviewed and submitted to MSA following receipt of safety and operating instructions and information, prior to receiving the equipment.
