Plate Magnets

MSA Magnetics Co-Force Plate Magnets are designed to remove metal contamination from processing lines and are typically installed in chutes, ducts, spouts, and conveyor applications where they capture and retain ferrous and work-hardened stainless-steel debris before it can reach downstream equipment or impact product quality. MSA Magnetics recommends that magnetic plates be placed below the product flow rather than above it, and whenever possible, products should be in direct contact with the magnetic plates or stepped surfaces to maximize capture efficiency. In applications where below-flow placement is not possible, plates should be positioned as close as possible to the product stream.

These systems use powerful rare-earth magnets to capture both larger ferrous items and fine stainless-steel particles. Combination and stepped plate designs enhance performance by increasing effective capture area and holding strength, helping ensure contaminants remain secure until cleaning.
